I just got foobar2000 yesterday so forgive me for any newbiness =P

I want to put a panel above the columns playlist using a horizontal splitter (for the browser panel) but whenever I add a horizontal splitter it always appears as a vertical splitter. Essentially, both splitters are the same.

This is what it's like when I add either splitter

I want it to look like this though

Any idea what to do?

1) if you have a question about columns ui, you should post it in the columns ui thread.

2) We'd be happy to help you but I have no idea what those ascii pictures mean. Can you take a screenshot (Alt+PrintScreen) and post it with imageshack or something? Maybe draw a diagram in paint? If you are trying to place a panel above a playlist it sounds like you should be using a vertical splitter. Think of the names as the orientation of their components not the direction of the splitter itself.

I think you might be trying to get something like:

Horizontal Splitter
+ Album List Panel
+ Vertical Splitter
- + Track Info Panel
- + Columns Playlist
