Hi all,

I am trying to convert an album (pink floyd the wall ) so that I can listen to the whole thing with no gaps (not chopped up into individual tracks) on my mp3 player.
I have been reading a lot of threads and have ended up confused.
Please could someone tell me the best/easiest way to do this.

Cheers Greame biggrin.gif

In Foobar, select the whole album and then: Converter -> convert to album image with cuesheets or chapters. (for mp3, you'll get a cue sheet).

You are aware that gapless playback of multiple MP3s on both PCs and DAPs is possible, right? Just asking since ripping to individual tracks is a far more flexible solution.

Thanks for your reply, I agree but with certain albums the gaps can be annoying.

You can get no gaps with single files

Get a player that can do it - foobar2000 (.org) is a good choice for windows, or iTunes if you like that

The easy cd-da extractor can do exactly what you want. But it is a demo version, so it will stop working after a trial period unless you pay for it.

No, get EAC, CDex or dBpoweramp. All free and better.

Oh, or foobar2000. Better and free too.

This can also be done with the ubiquitous iTunes. Drop in the CD and when the tracks appear in iTunes select them all and then choose Advanced -> Join CD Tracks. When ripped, the CD will be one continuous track in whatever format you have selected for ripping (e.g., AAC, MP3, WAV, etc.)

Oh yeah - it's free, too.
