Hello

Recently I've purchaced 2 dvdrw sata 2 interface by NEC.My problem is that i cannot configure EAC at all.
When starting the configuration wizard the application just crushes.I try to reopen EACand nothing happens.
I've tried to uninstall and then reinstall the application but the situation remains.I dont think that's something wrong with the drives because they work fine with any other application plus ASPI by adaptec are fully operational. Are there any problems reported concerning EAC and sata 2 drives.
If it matters i have a dual core cpu (Intel E6600)and a rather difficult to handle motherboard (GIGABYTE DQ6 rev1.0 headbang.gif) concerning it's very problematic SATA and IDE controllers headbang.gif

Thank you in advance

My NEC drive is not recognized by EAC unless I have the Native Win32 Interface for Win NT /2000/XP under EAC Options > Interface. Mine would crash and not even load properly unless I set that. Try that yourself.

Dual core wont be an issue: I have a hyperthreaded system which for all reasoning behaves like a dual core and I can rip fine.

While I doubt it has to do with an incompatible SATA drivers, I wouldn't have any knowledge pertaining to that potential problem.

Delete EAC's registry entries (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AWSoftware\EAC), hopefully it helps. Oh, and better make a backup of that part of the registry or save your settings into a profile via EAC's profile manager (at the bottom of the program window).

And I'd send a bug report to the author in any case, he'd be happy to receive information about this.

Since you mention this, make sure you have the latest BIOS and the latest drivers, including Intel Chipset drivers. Mainboard revision shouldn't matter.
