Hello all!

Now I understand how to rip and organise my library for syncing with my player, I'm curious to know how you organise files that aren't part of an album.

The reason I ask is because I currently have 202 MP3s that are in a Misc folder and they are all tagged except for album name and album artist due a mistake I made when I was tired, which I will fix, but if I was to add these to my library and then sync them it will create a folder on the player for the album artist\album name\track number - track name (once I've fixed those tags), but do you really want all these extra folders containing one or two tracks.

How do you organise and label your miscellaneous MP3s?

Thank you in advance! smile.gif

FooBar2000 makes it easy to create multiple file organization schemes. When I have full albums of files I organize them by: \%genre%\%album artist% - %album%\'['%track%']' %title%
When it is an image of a CD: \%genre%\%album artist% - %album%\%album artist% - %album%

And for all the songs I purchase online I made a system like so: \%genre%\%Album Artist%\%album% '['[%track%]']' - %title%

That way all my incomplete albums go into the root artist, and then each of the miscellaneous files are first named by the album, then track number, and then includes the title.
