HI Guys

I am just starting to use Coumns UI.

I have read a few tutorials on it.

But I cannot find out how to make my playlists show artist and title from the Id3v2 tags in my files rather than Foobars own Metadata.

Is there anyway I can do this as most of my Foobar metadata is raw and unorganised, whereas all my Id3v2 tags are up to date.

If you are using foobar 0.9 foobar does not hold any meta data, the information displayed is taken from file tags.

E.g: %artist% will display the artist tag in the file.

If you are not seeing what you would expect it is possible that you have two or more tag types in the file, and foobar is displaying one of the other types - e.g.: you may have ID3v1 and ID3v2, have updated only the ID3v2, but foobar is displaying the ID3v1.

I see what you mean.

But I have now just discovered that although my Tags are correct I need to update each music file's properties so that the tag information shows in the playlist window rather than the data in the MetaTab.

This could be a very tedious process.

Over half of my files show the information in the Metatab !

Do other people have these problems ?
