Is it possible to create a CUE sheet? I have .FLAC files and .APE files from needledrops, but of course no CUE sheets. How can I create or generate one? I have found this program CDRcue cuesheet editor. Does this work? Or should I just drag and drop into Nero Burning ROM?

CUE sheets are not hard to create. They are just text documents with a .CUE extension; they can be made in NotePad. Here is a sample:

[EDIT: Better CUE sheet to use]

The REM COMMENT and REM DISCID are not required. All you need to keep in mind are those track indexes. The format is for time position in Minutes:Seconds:Frame, they are absolute position of the tracks, not the track length. You can get the MM:SS:FF with Audacity or any other audio program. I don't think Audacity works with FLAC, but the time position in MM:SS:FF in a FLAC and an uncompressed WAV-from-FLAC are the same.

I see....well, I was hoping to avoid the nitty-gritty, as I don't know anything about it. I do have Audacity at least, so I can play with that.
Thanks for answering.

Stupid question: how do I convert .FLAC back to .WAV?
SamHain86
Use either the FLAC frontend [which includes the encoder] or just the encoder. The simple command in CMD is "flac -d file.flac".

I am assuming you encoded the FLACs, so why not use the program you did that with?

You can use shntool to generate a bare-bones CUE sheet, which you can fill out later if you like:

CODE
shntool cue *.ape > cuesheet.txt
