I'm having a weird problem with my emu 0202. Sometimes when I try to play audio. It tries, the system freezes for a while but nothing happens. This happens with ASIO or directsound. If I try using videolan debug build it says can not initialize direct sound. If I quite all my programs it works. This is my system
Windows XP SP2 patched
2 DVD drives
3 IDE HDD and 1 Sata HDD
Soyo 845PE Motherboard
Radeon 9550 Graphics card
3-com Lan card
Firewire card.
On-board audio and lan disabled.

Any ideas?

I have one computer, physically a bit small, with only three PCI slots. They contain an audio card, an ethernet card, and a disk controller. Nothing works worth a darn unless each of the three cards is in the correct slots for it and only it. Correct was determined by trial and error. The same situation existed before I added the extra disk controller; the other two cards liked one and only one slot each (or perhaps it is that the computer only 'liked' them in that physical arraignment). I have no idea why or what, only that there is one way for it to all work and several where nothing much works.

I tried it but it still has the same problem.
