I usually keep my favorite songs in playlists. A problem with that is when I sort my mp3 files, moving them from one folder to another, some entries in the playlists will be dead, and so I have to update the playlists manually, replace these entries with the new locations. I think this could be done automatically, i.e. look up the foobar2k database, find the best match for the dead entries, and update them to their current locations. Is there any component/plug-in can do this job for me?
Thx in advance for reply~
I think that
foo_playlist_bind could do the job.
My case is that songs in one playlist come from different albums and folders. foo_playlist_bind can't handle it. It is not the suitable plugin for me. But thanks any way

its too bad the path to the file cant be manually changed... is there a plugin to do that at least?
You can save playlist as m3u and edit paths. Another option is autoplaylist.

If you use foobar to move/sort your files then all your playlists will be updated automatically.
Like JoyO said, can't you use autoplaylist to have your playlists automatically updated for you?
For instance I have these autoplaylists :
- my favorite songs, based on 'rating' tag.
- fast songs, based on a 'tempo' tag.
- songs for special moods (eg: melancolic, happy, smoking), based on 'mood' tag
- songs that I never listened to, based on play_count (iirc) + random function to select only a given percentage.
- songs that lack replaygain
- songs that I think may a friend may like
- etc

It sounds good

I will try it.
but before that do i need to update my fb2k from 0.8.3 to 0.9? it seems the plug-in requires ver 0.9.

Yes, it's a 0.9.x component:
