hi,

how can i minimize the ram use of my foobar (curently about 20mb of 1024mb)

The only idea i have would be to close foobar!

Are you really sure you will feel some improvement if you would minimize it to let's say 2MB. You paid money for your ram so use it!

ah

ive read, that foobar2k only needs 8mb of ram, but 20mb is also ok

By not loading a thousand useless plugins.

I'd suggest you take a look at your plugins and remove the ones you don't absolutely need (do you really need the Tutorial plugin?), or redundant ones (album list and the album list panel).

In any case, i doubt you can significantly lower your memory use by doing just the above. For significant changes, you may have to dump the browser and use a more spartan foobar. If you can't live with this, i suggest you just ignore the memory use (which isn't that bad)

Album list is redundant??

I find foobar reduces its memory considerably when you minimise it. Currently using 11mb with 100gb library/17k tracks.

yeah i meant he has the panels version AND the non panel version. why have both?
