Hi, i changed today from Winamp to Foobar2000, i want to know how to use new skin for Foobar2000 ? i downloaded a skin on internet, 2 files with .fcs and 1 with .fcb

I tried to copy then in C:\Program Files\foobar2000 folder nothing change

I read the wiki faq i don't understand it, is there a way to Simply apply a cool skin in Foobar2000 ?

Thank's
Paws
Hi to use .fcs you need Columns Ui, do you have that?
Edit: As well as the .fcb which is buttons.
Foobar isn't some simple media player to customize, not for me.
Takes alot of time to get use to.

Download columns ui. After that when you click on foobar is will ask what user interface you'd like
and choose columns ui. then after that, click on file then preferences and then go to columns ui.
After that click on main tab, should be chosen by defualt.
Then go to importing exporting, and that's right under the libraires info. Then you load your .fcs smile.gif

Post back results please.

Foobar is a player for those who want to put some sort of effort in and learn about things. What is your native language? There might be better tutorial in that which will help you understand how to work foobar properly.

French, i read already some stuff, i can't go on any creating myself anything as i don't have any knowledge for that, i already browse all function on Preference and find the one i want, the only thing i want now is ( if that exist) is a skin (maybe i should say .fcs file) without bug to make it look better

The arrow in the menu thing is a question of your visual style of windows. Which means you have to change it complete for your windows.

The rest you have to config within the plugins mostly you can reach the settings by right clicking on them and change the color.

What do you mean with picture? I can't see it....

No offense intended, but you should probably just go back to Winamp. There are no such things as 'skins' for Foobar.
CepiPerez
You can go to Uploads -> Customization Distribution Thread and try to download one of the skins in there.
People who post his work explain how to install it.

But if you want to make you own skin, you must read a lot to understand how to do that.

No offense JadeElephant, i think you're right i don't have enough knowledge for foobar (thought he was more simple to use)

If i wanted to change from Winamp to foobar it's because i have a problem with my DAC who can't read with WMP and i just wanted a audio software who give me the list of all titles on a CD i put on my PC like WMP do, look like there is some Pro here, if you want to know more or maybe help look here http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=229018

CepiPerez and shakey_snake you give good idea but i don't know how to use the files i find, yes reading all can help but i just wanted a "skin" in .fcs file like the one i found, i know how to install that, problem is that the one i found is bugy crying.gif

So now if you can just tell me how to go to original skin to not have any bug anymore that will be enough, if you know where i can find some cool .fcs not bugy that will be great too wink.gif

Glad to know I managed to introduce another person to MediaMonkey smile.gif

It's okay, 89 dB is the ReplayGain standard.

Make sure that you "Analyze Volume" on the files, but do not "Apply Leveling". The latter modifies your MP3 files irreversibly.

( I may have mis-named the actions there. Sorry, there's no MediaMonkey on the terminal I currently use. )
