Full Version: tagging multiple albums

Sorry if this has been covered, but I could not find this with a forum search.

When I select "get tags (multiple albums), more often than not, I will get the response "WARNING (foo_freedb) : Don't tell me you have CD longer than 100 minutes. Query aborted." Does anyone know why I get this message some times, but not others?

Using foo_freedb 1.0.2, fb2k 0.8.3

I realize this is not the current version of fb2k, but I am staying with 0.8.3 because it has the option to "Block tag update operation" on the file itself and only save tag changes to the fb2k database. If there is a way to do this in the current version, please enlighten me, as I have been told it can't be done.

Probably because the existing tags suck =) (meaning that either the tracknumbers or album name is wrong, as I havn't made it I don't know which of them).
The freedb tracker need some tags to identify the album.
Easy as Pie.

try using mp3tag

Tracks are generally untagged, but in different folders. I know the single album tagging works fine without any existing tags, and I wasn't familiar with how the multiple album tagging works. I just tested this and, sure enough, as long as both folders are tagged, the option works. If not, then not.

It kind of defeats the purpose if the tags are already there, unless you want to change them for some reason.
