I have some ac3 soundtracks and I'd like to know if there
is a player that can handle this kind of files. thanks

lots of players on the linux side (xmms, lamip, mplayer, ffmpeg, gstreamer, etc.)
foobar on windows through a plugin
rockbox supports that as well

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm not looking for
a software (I use winamp)
but a portable player (with flash memory or hard drive).

Some
portable DVD Video players may support decoding separate AC3 files, but I would recommend converting your AC3 soundtracks to a more supported format, i.e. MP3 or MP4/AAC.

Any portable player that can run Rockbox can playback AC3. As far as standalone units that do it that don't run Rockbox I don't really know of any.

I don't want to transcode to mp3 because I need the highest quality.
