Full Version: Configuration for crossfeed plugin?

Having just downloaded Foobar2000, it really is an excellent player ( much superior to WMP, which I was previously using due to laziness to install anything else ) .. so excellent work there, Peter! laugh.gif

However, one pressing question.. for the crossfeed plugin included, is there anyway to tweak the crossfeed settings used? If I'm not wrong, this is based of Trelane's crossfeed Winamp plugin, and if I'm not that wrong again, the Winamp plugin could be configured...

So again, I was wondering if there was anyway to tweak crossfeed settings ... especially since I'm stuck using headphones ( kinda crappy Philips HP840 ) ..

A few versions of the Winamp plugin had a configuration system. It's been removed temporarily because it was a hack. The crossfeed in Foobar 2000 is based on the latest Winamp plugin (0.62), which doesn't have a configuration system. I'm working on a new version that will include some configuration options. It should be out soon (hopefully in a few weeks).

Yeh, that was my sole request as well, sometimes the crossfeed tends to be just a bit too weak.

Could the new version allow an adjustment of the crossover frequency?

The current version seems to slightly add some mids, is this right? Could that frequency or effect be adjustable?

Yep. Currently planned tweakable options are: crossfeed frequency (currently 800 hz), delay (currently 250 microseconds), and possibly crossfeed amount (this option is the least important of the three, and has the highest potential to totally ruin the sound).
