I was wondering what "standard" APE fields there are. There is the list that FB2K uses, but APEv2 allows more than just those. I was wondering if there's some other standard fields that are described somewhere, as well as whether or not non-standard fields are accessable through FB2K's title formatting syntax.

It would also be very nice to have a better reference for the title formatting stuff. It looks really powerful, but undocumented. Is there any such resource out there?

Standard fields. You can also use anything you wish.

Yes, just use syntax %name-of-any-field%.

Heh, that's the problem I was trying to avoid. I'd rather stick to the "standard" fields than use my own creations. That's one of the nice things about ID3v2: there was a specific field for anything. That was also its main problem. tongue.gif

Sure, standards are good for proper formatting in playlists and such. But not when they're done poorly. Personally I think the reason why ID3v2 is so hated is because of its stupid implementation. Counters uses MSB with 7 bits per byte (instead of LSB, 8 bits per byte), no unicode support, wierd identifer (three bytes for the format string and the fourth for the version), etc. It's quite annoying to program anything that has to do with ID3v2. And the fact that some "fields" got new names with newer revisions makes it even more annoying...
