So here's the deal:

I had a Windows XP computer, where my music was stored in C:\Documents and Settings\Axiem\My Documents\Music

Now I have a Windows Vista computer, where my music is stored in C:\Users\Axiem\Music

I have been able to successfully import all of my old settings and components from the XP box. I have even more or less imported the playlists. However, the playlists still want to pull the files from the old location, and I can't figure out a way to update them so that I don't have to go and rebuild them (as in some cases, that would be annoyingly difficult).

Is there a way I can get foobar to update all my playlists to use the new database location?

This is on Windows Vista, foobar 0.8.3 Unicode version, if that matters.

Thanks!

Have you tried opening your playlists in notepad and doing a simple find&replace?

Yeah, and when I open the playlist up in foobar, it's empty.

save the playlist as a m3u
then do find and replace,
then reimport.

I believe the .pls format has a checksum.

It worked! Awesome! Thank you very much!

I figured there was a checksum or something like that going on; I had just totally forgotten that foobar can load/save .m3u files.
