Would it be possible to have an option to remember song playing position when the program is closed, and then resume when opened? I imagine this would be simple, but what do I know smile.gif

Oh, yes. Come bring it Uncle Z!

I have also one feature request. Song name what is playing should be different color than others. It's very hard to find the song from large playlist if they are not in some kind a logical order. Yes there is a search option but still...

just check the option Playback->Follow Cursor

Then there is another problem. If you select some song somewhere in play list then it will be next song what starts to play. Is a problem example when i load another directory, and make some modifications to new songs metadata then it starts to play when previous song ends. it's a bit annoying feature.

But i have another feature request. some kind a "remove ID3v2 tags..." and "remove metadata" should be nice. Normally i remove all metadata from all my songs, but ID3V2 tags are hidden from foobar2000. I have to use WinAmp to do that always.

Use software that is built for that function, like Tagger, instead of trying to make foobar the end-all audio management program.

That program looks very fine but it does not work on my computer. I tested versions 1.3 and 1.5. Does it work on your computer?

EDIT: ups... ok now it works. Thank you B)

Um... Foobar already supports adding and removing metadata tags, haven't you noticed? So, there's no need to jump down astoff's throat, because 90% of the functionality is already there. There's already an "add new" button, and a "remove" button, so a "remove all" button (that also strips id3v2 tags) doesn't seem that far-fetched.

That being said, it can be dangerous to have "remove all" buttons without confirmations, especially when it's removing id3v2 data that the user cannot even see in the player. So I agree that, for the task of removing id3v2 tags, it's best to use Tag recursively (it's a 1-step process).

If you double-click on the currently-playing songname in the status bar (bottom of the player), the window scrolls to the currently playing song, even if "Follow cursor" is disabled. That should be the solution you're looking for.

Thanks for the hint. That was the answer that i was looking for.

Ok. Finally i didn't got tagger to work with me. So sad because it looks very useful tool.

@askoff: Sorry if I came off a little harsh, I didn't mean to.
@SometimesWarrior: Thanks for that hint as well. I was looking for that, too.

It's important to note that foobar does support the adding and removal of metadata, but only one file at a time. I was trying to speed things up for askoff by implementing Tagger in this situation. smile.gif
