I use Mozilla's Gecko based browser Phoenix and when i open thw foobar2000 site, the formatting is quite different to IE & Opera interpretation:

When I decrease the Phoenix browser window width, the text moves to the left out of visible area.

See this screenshot:

(I hate GeoCities for making any file unavailable when a working link is posted here mad.gif )

I do not believe that something is bad on the browser's side.
But it may be...

Behaviour confirmed here on Moz [nightly 2003010108]. Works fine on Opera 7 beta 2.

I noticed the source has two <!DOCTYPE>s, the second one commented out. But the page validates fine... I suspect it may be a CSS thing.

I'll get back to you on this.

[edit2]
It is the CSS at fault. Change
CODE
body { width : 640px; }
to
CODE
body { width : 60%; }
and you should be fine.

I am also cleaning up the XHTML and CSS, and will put up at another site for Peter to use, if he wishes.

Great....

but for me, a value 100% appears to be better.

who knows... huh.gif

a value of 60% simulates the current layout, but without that disappearing text effect.

Thanks for letting me know, fixed.
