Hello all,
For years I have used my beloved foobar2000 0.8.3 with ColumnsUI and AlbumArt, with no problems, and decided tonight, with much trepidation, to try the new and "improved" foobar.
I'm already stumped.
I'm using foobar2000 core 0.9.4.2, Album Art Panel 0.2.6, Columns UI 0.1.3 beta 1v7.
I get: "unhandled exception: dynamic_assert failure"
when I add AlbumArt to ColumnsUI the moment I hit "Apply".
What am I doing wrong? Has this worked for anyone?
Full Version: foo_uie_albumart crashes foobar
My first suggestion would be to bring up this issue in the main thread for foo_uie_albumart as you are more likely to get better support there. Also, what operating system are you using? Windows 2000 requires GDI+ and I have no idea if the component has been recompiled for Vista.
An alternative to the albumart panel is to install foo_ui_panels and build a Track Display panel using image functions. I personally take this approach to displaying album art.

Where did you download from? My initial release of 0.2.6 had that exact same bug, but I released a new version the next day. I bet I forgot to update a link somewhere.
See my plugin page for the updated version. If you double-click the "Album Art panel" entry under "Preferences -> Components", you should see "compiled: Jan 15, 2007".
edit: btw, yes, the component has been recompiled for Vista.

gfngfgf, you solved my problem! By going to your site I got the Jan 15, 2007 version which now is working fine. gfngfgf, I have used and enjoyed your fine plugin for years...thanks for keeping it updated, I know it must be a lot of work.

Thanks for the suggestion, Yotsuya. I have never used ui_panels before and my immediate goal is just to get the new foobar up and and working like I am used to -- I like a clear, simple layout with print that you don't have to squint at to see, and album art on the side. But if ui_panels can read embedded album art, I may eventually play around with it.
