peter,

1)
i think its a good idea to write the buttons in font, instead of using images,
but the actual used buttons look bad. so i had a look into the symbol table.
i found some nice symbols in the fontstyle webdings that are capable.
here is the picture and the file(right mouse, save as):

I'm pretty sure those are just used for spacing

nice.this will remain the advantage of font buttons

You choose the font in display properties so it maybe a bit more complicated to implement, but anyway, does anyone have a solution to my problem?

The stop icon in 0.39a shows up as a square on my laptop, but on my home pc it is a squashed rectangle sad.gif Both have menu font set to tahoma, and Im stumped... (i want it as the square)

maybe you should first check the sizes & dates of all fb2k files to see if you really have the same version on both pc's

Im actually running of this pc, they are networked.

I got as far as finding out this pc is replacing that symbol with one from another font. I don't know which one though..

Both are XP SP1. I'm gonna try updating the nividia drivers as a long shot..

I believe that font settings are for the playlist only.
I'd check which font is set for menu in windows settings on laptop and choose the same one on the other pc (and optionally share info which font produces square look for 'II').

? Another example is if i make a document with chinese letters in it in word 2002, and save it, word comes up with a document name with the chinese letters in it - but windows will show this horrible symbol instead. I dont know how the forum will handle it, but here it is:

To me it looks like a thick line. Well I dont know if it is, but its a similar thing.

Or if you see this one right, put it in a filename, and you'll either get a square (laptop) or a thin rectangle (pc).

And i was talking about the menu fonts in display properties.. I've even tried deleting all my fonts and copying them from the laptop..
