i put the kernal streaming dll in the foobar2000\components folder, and i dont have the option to use it..
i use vista x86.
it didnt work on vista x64 either.

i have a strange probelm,

The audio layer in vista is different from xp, so i think that component has to be rewritten for vista.
It works on mine. Using X-Fi Music with the latest driver. 
Try getting the latest driver instead of what Vista installs for you.

Kernel streaming works for me but no other app can play sounds while foobar is playing, even when you pause the song. You have to stop the song.
