Hi there,

Just release the 0.4 version of rubyripper. Most important changes are the rewritten gtk2 interface ( a lot better now IMHO ) and the added MacOS support. Also a lot of bugfixes, probably your most hated one too wink.gif

Bugtracker, subversion, downloads, mailing lists, etc. can now be found on http://code.google.com/p/rubyripper/

With kind regards,

Thanks, RubyRipper is really great. I would even prefer it to EAC on Windows if there was a Port wink.gif

Any chance of a .deb file being released for *ubuntu users? That would be greatly appreciated, thanks smile.gif

Thanks so much!
This is the first release that works for me. Either v0.3 had trouble seeing my CD-ROM or I had trouble telling it where to look. rolleyes.gif (Linux n00b here, I'm also on Ubuntu.)
Great software!

Cool, can't wait till it hits Gentoo Portage.

Just another friendly request for an Ubuntu build. Thanks a bunch.

Heya,

The 0.4.1 release is there. This fixes some rather serious bugs. Summary:

* fix a typo that prevented the loading of the icon after install and resulted in a crash
* fix a bug where basedirs with a space would result in a crash
* correct a typo for 'other codec'
* make the parsing of rubyripper_settings file more foolproof
* change the way 'Preferences' are shown. No more closebutton, but dynamic sidebutton

Get it while it's hot: http://rubyripper.googlecode.com/files/rub...r-0.4.1.tar.bz2

Kind regards,

As soon as you tell us how to build an app written in an interpreted language, sure.

See the Makefile for the things you need to do. You don't have to build it, because it's interpreted. Just copy the files to the proper locations.

Thanks!!!

BTW how can I used this app for MAC OS X 10.4.9, because I didn't see the icon app? Please help me... or another way to install this awesome app.

KOF. First make sure you have the dependencies installed.
* cdparanoia
* ruby

Then open Terminal.app and execute rubyripper_cli.rb.
See README for more details.

Not sure exactly what this means but I got it "compiled" and working with a desktop icon as well. What I was hoping for was a .deb that you could use to easily install the files in the right folders and include shortcut icons in the right places. I've got this done now but a .deb always makes it easier, especially when needing to upgrade.
