Hi there.

I'd like to offer an extension for TAK-compressed files - .tka, which means "TAK Kompressed Audio". I believe it's a little bit more informative than current ".tak". biggrin.gif

I've wrote this post because takc.exe don't want to compress files if '.tka' extension provided. (I've made my test inside Foobar2000 only).

I find it hard to see how ".tak" is not informative, when the format is called "TAK". smile.gif

I guess I see your logic, but I'm inclined to still think changing it could be more confusing.

Nah, in English that would be .tca "TAK Compressed Audio". Just .tak, which is the name of the format, seems a lot better.

IIRC, Tom mentioned that TAK is just a container, so it may one day include other information other than audio? Though I'm not too sure on this...
