Hi,
I searched the forums, and I still don't understand some of the WaveGain options.
First, DC offset - is it calculated on per-channel basis, but would it make sense to apply different offset correction on the R and L channels of the same file?
Also, what kind of offset correction should be applied - album or track, and in what order (first adjust the gain, and then the offset, or the other way around).

Also, what does dithering do (at the 4 different available levels), and when should I use it?

Thanks in advance,
Genia.

DC offset is calculated on a per channel, per file basis and is applied before the gain adjustment. Dithering is really of little consequence unless you are downsizing the bitwidth of the input, eg., 24 bit to 16 bit. All internal calculations are based upon the use of 'doubles', so all input is converted to doubles and then converted back on output.
