When I shut down my computer from windows start menu. The screen goes black, the mouse pointer is viewable but not movable. I hear the harddrive powering down, I no longer hear the fans running but the powerlight remains along with the powersupply fan. The keyboard and mouse light remain on. Anyone know how to sort this out?

I had this problem when I turned the DMA on for my CD drives. A format and reinstall for windows, turned DMA on and it didn't happen anymore.
