I want buy a new drive for my PC and became this doubt, what of this two drivers are better?
I always use LG's drives but some people tell me that the drives of Pioneer are better than LG and I'm very confused. The difference of price of these two are little being Pionner more expensive than LG.What you would sugest?
What I more will make with the drive is:
Extract audio from CD's using EAC in secure mode
I not burn CD's above 24X, 99% of them will be in 8X, media Dr.Hank.
DVDS:Dr Hank like above not more than 4X.

That's is the Dr.Hank.The media that I use in my burnings.I'm citate it 'cause i'm read that some drives of pioneer recuse some kind of media (bad, i'm think).

Firstly, I would recommend you find out the true manufacturer of the media you plan to burn. I have the LG H22N and it excels at burning 16x Verbatim DVD+R at 16x. It is also an excellent CD burner at 40x. As a ripper, not so much, but that's not why I purchased it.

Check out cdfreaks.com for way more info and some excellent in-depth review on both units.

I've never heard or GigaStorage. You might do well to download something like Nero CDSpeed (www.cdspeed2000.com) and use the "Disc Info" tab to tell you the MID of the disc. That'll tell you who really manufacturers it.
