Alright, here's my issue.
I am using EAC with a FLAC encoder to rip my CD collection with.
Initially various artist albums were added as artist folder > album folder > # - artist - trackname
However, that meant I had to keep an eye on the ripping, and manually move the individual tracks into one common folder.. which was a huge hassle.
So I enabled the various artists feature, and now my tags are displayed as correctly as ever - however - filenames are now; "# - various - trackname"
I really want to have proper filenames, as well as tags. Tags are the most important thing, don't get me wrong, but I'm a neat freak I guess. Can anyone help me out?
Here's my command line options etc;
Naming scheme; %I\%D\%Y - %C\%N - %D - %T
Various artists naming scheme; %I\%Y - %C\%N - %D - %T
Command line options for FLAC encoder; -8 -V -T "artist=%a" -T "title=%t" -T "album=%g" -T "date=%y" -T "tracknumber=%n" -T "genre=%m" -T comment="%e" -T "comment=EAC (Secure Mode)" %s
I got those from the *these* forums, so I am assuming they are good.
This may be a n00bish question, but I need an answer just the same.
Is there any way I rename tracks from the ID tags, so I don't have to do that manually with all the various artist albums I already have ripped with the "various" naming scheme?
