I tested foobar @ school on some old comps (Pentium 200mhz 32mb ram).

Foobar seems to pause when i launch IE and when the pc is "overloaded" as in a few IE windows open and a page is loading and such.

WInamp 2.81 doesn't do that, as if it as a skip protection.

I tried increasing the buffer in waveout but it didnt help.

What about directsound?

I think fb2k's decoder have not set thread priority to highest. And winamp has been set it.

the computer is running windows 98.

yes maybe the priority is the problem.
