Hello.

The podcasts I download from CBC FM Radio are about an hour long and contain 15 songs or so.

When you load the podcast up in your ipod,it appears as segmented along the play bar, and you can skip to the next song because they are indexed somehow.

Does anyone know what tool is used to do this?

I have a handful of files I would like to segment this way, Rush 2112, Jethro Tull Thick as a Brick etc.

The buzzword for these is "enhanced podcasts". So "enhanced podcasts" would be good to Google on.

I haven't done it, but I believe this is done with some software from Apple called ChapterTool. Unfortunately, AFAIK it's Mac only software. There's a scheme to do something similar with MP3.

Thanks for your reply. Your right, for now the software is Mac only. I will have to muddle until a Windows equivalent comes along. Thanks again........ .(
