Hello folks,
I've been reading about Vista for some time. Now I came across a Vista Kernel article series describing the Multimedia Class Scheduler Service[1] in Windows Vista. It gives priority to applications that register themselves appropriately so that audio does not glitch even under stress. I don't have any deep understanding of it, but thought it relevant to this group. Some extra Vista audio material included[2]. Hope you find it useful.
Best Regards,
Bent
