Hi there,
I'm pretty new to foobar, so bear with me if this is a ridiculously stupid question.
Basically, I'm wondering if for Panels UI I can get album art so that it is from the ID3 tag (or equiv)..
I can do it in Columns UI with foo_uie_albumart .. so is there an equivalent for Panels UI?
Or am I just being stupid?

no you can't.
you could always draw a foo_uie_albumart panel with panesUI, though.

if it's really too complicated for you, I'd suggest just sticking with columnsUI.
