hello forum, i'm truly sorry if this has been answered already, but i did try to find the answer in these forums and in google.

i'm using fb2k 0.9.4.3. whenever i go to the "keyboard shortcuts" preferences, i get the error, "could not create preferences page: bad allocation." i'm sure it's caused by some component, but i just don't know which one.

does this sound familiar to anyone? thanks!
if this is a stupid question, simply reply 'sq' and then i'll do a more thorough research lol

The question itself is not stupid but need more info to help you. Which Windows version (with SP or not) are you using? Foobar version and components are also needed.

From the sound of it, you are using an outdated version of at least one component on Windows Vista.

I've been having the same problem, and yes, Vista Home Premium (no SP???). Might it be Autoplaylist? Someone else said they wiped autoplaylist settings by removing the component, put it back and it worked. Admittedly, this was when having a "bad allocation" error on starting foobar, but it may be the same thing. I will try it out sometime today.

EDIT: Just quickly tried it out, and now foobar asks if I want to wipe the settings. When I say yes, it consistantly comes up with a bad allocation error.
