my foobar2000 0.9.4.3 corrupts mp3 stream in files when updates files on connected network drive.

i store my multimedia files on freebsd 6.1+samba 3.22 box

I am able to play mp3s off of a samba share from an ubuntu 7.04 server on foobar running in xpsp2 via vmware and can update tags all day long without a problem. You do, however, have significantly more plugins installed than I do. Have you tried running default foobar without any additional plugins to see if the problem persists? Have you tried to copy the files to your local windows machine to try and isolate if the problem is specific to samba? Maybe your samba setup needs debugging. BSD/Linux is not supported by the majority of the foobar community and network sharing appears to work fine for most users sharing media from windows hosts. Have you tried hosting the media off of a different machine/platform?

problem repeats with other players. i think that vista is not fully compatible with samba shares.
