I used Masstagg today on a CD I ripped and I thought I did it correctly.

However, I believe something must have been done incorrectly, because instead of moving the files, it created a folder for death cab/photo album but about 20 times. I then did the conversion correctly and ended up with a properly created folder structure

however this existing folder was still on my desktop (the multiple one) which is UNABLE TO BE DELETED. I am flipping a shit because I even turned 'show hidden files' on, but the error keeps showing -

when I put the folder (or any sub folder) in the recycle bin I get this message "confirm file delete - the folder 'name of folder' contains items whose name is too long for the recycle bin, do you want to permanently delete it?'

I say Yes to ALL

then this: error deleting file or folder - cannot remove folder DEATHC~1: the directory is not empty

thats all I can do. I cant even find a file or folder called DEATHC~1 and am not sure if this can be fixed... what did I do wrong and why is this unable to be forced out of my system?

UPDATE : I was also searching for other people's woes with file troubles and found that I wasn't alone. A program that saved me from heartache was Unlocker. It took care of that problem quick, and I'd rec. for anyone in a similar situation. Beats going into command line and doing all sorts of stuff's

BUT I am still curious about what in foobar was causing that to happen and what I can do to prevent it.

Yeah, I have many soundtrack and album with long names in Japanese and this happen too. Using Unlocker or restart windows save the day. Probably a leak handle somewhere.
