Full Version: Pro Quo Audio?
Hydrogenaudio Forums > Hydrogenaudio Forum > Site Related Discussion

When I first joined up here I saw the forum thread about polarity inversion audibility and it gave me the impression this was a pro audio site. I really like the layout (and the discussions here) Could we maybe have a dedicated pro audio section? I am a "pro" recording engineer and would like a place to discuss microphones, pre-amps, mic technique and other similar stuff. I'm not so much into the MP3 thing. I'm more into the 24/96 recording thang ya dig?

Compressors and Gates and Companders Oh My!
Jan S.
These examples don't fit under "Audio Hardware"?

The mics and compressors do. Mic Technique and Recording Practices (tricks & tips) certainly don't.

You should checkout the http://www.harmony-central.com/ forums also the Blue Room sound forums http://www.blue-room.org.uk/index.php?showforum=3 however that is UK biased.

Theory behind mic techniques and stuff probably fit into the "Scientific R&D" topic here but discussion about pro audio gear isn't really covered.

It just seems like you "bit-rate-encoder-math-heads" and real world engineering types would have a bit to share ya know? (such as in the polarity inversion post)
