Hi! I have many 64 kbit/s mp3s. I have now a radio-cd-recorder, which is able to play mp3-CDs! Unfortunately it is not able to play 64 kbit/s mp3s (and lower), or to be precise: it plays them in double speed! I have tried to convert the mp3s to 128 kbit/s using Easylame with several different modes. But the converted mp3s are also being played with double speed!
The mp3s can be played easily on with my PC or my Portable mp3-Player!Does anybody have an idea how I can convert them sucessfully for usage in this player? sad.gif

Umm... I bet your mp3's are encoded not only at 64kbps, but also at 22kHz sampling rate..

So, in your testing, before re-encoding to 128kbps you should do a sampling-rate conversion (I think LAME can do it via the cmd line).

It would be best to rip the tracks again from the source to a rate of your choice with 44kHz.

Reencoding should always be avoided.
