I have converted all mi CD in .ape format with EAC usinf wapet.

Yesterday I tried conversions to lossy format using Foo. With Lame and with Nero to compare the file dimension.
1) On the MP3 file when I point the mous on it I see the complete set of information of the tag. On the AAC no. Why?
2) The file name is different from the orginal .ape file. I mean that compresse file name does not respect the "convention" of "track/Author/Album/Title that I have cerated during the first CD enconding to .APE format using EAC. Why? How to maintain the same naming convention? The foobar parameter for the various encoding programs seems to be correct. I don't know.....
3) When I play a music file (with replaygain data) with a player different (i.e Vlc) from foobar, I listen it an higher level of "volume". This happen because vlc does not support replaygain data? The .ape file with replaygain on foobar sounds differently fron the same in lossy using vlc. I think It is not a problem of quality (loosless vs lossy) but of +-db level. What do you think?
4) In some place/where there should be an option to say to xp that every music files must be played with foobar......where is it?! I'm going crazy... crying.gif

Thanks

1. Windows can not interpret anything.
2. Use "convert to same directory" and use %filename% in converter.
3. Yes. FB2K Options, playback.
