Hi,
For the past year or so, our amateur drama group's sound team has had a Numark CD-Mix 1 to play cd's through a mixing desk -> amp -> speakers. We've had this working perfectly before now, without any interferance with other equipment. Today, we came to get it out of it's box again, and set it up, working no problem. However, nearby, we were testing out an old wireless lapel mic, which was playing up.
Nothing happened, until we switched the CD player on, at which point, the mic's reciever recieved a whole load of noise. This can only have been coming from the CD player, though we couldn't hear what was on the CD. On further investigation, we found that a small yet significant amount of noise is also coming through the XLR output of the CD player.
The mic operates at roughly 155MHz (I'm thinking it's a Sennheiser).
This is a major inconvenience, and one I'd really like to have sorted by the weekend.
Thanks for any insights / ideas, no matter how ridiculous, as I'm willing to try anything to get it working.
