I am using EAC. However, when I choose the external Fraunhofer codec from Radium to code to mp3, I get standard wav files instead. What gives? Is it not seeing the encoder? I point the external options directory for the encoder correctly. The *. exe is RaMp3Cfg.exe
I'm using 0.95 BETA4 EAC.

Please note following things:

1) You shouldn't write here about using an illegal software (Radium-Fraunhofer MP3 Codec).
2) You're probably trying to run a codec's configuration dialog, not a compressor. Radium/Fraunhofer is an ACM codec, not a CLI encoder.
3) Why don't you use LAME? It is legal, much higher quality and causes no problems.

You are new here, that explains this question. You can check the listening tests here on the forums, after that you will know, why...

Unfortunately it is already very old (year 2004) and since then LAME has been even improved, but most of the competitors haven't.

Look at http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=EAC_and_Lame to get some EAC and LAME suggestions.
