Maybe stupidly I decided to rip some CDs as a single file .mp4 with foobar2000 and the Nero CLI encoder. The problem is that Quod Libet (and I guess all gstreamer based players) doesn't recognize the tracks and plays them as a single track. On the upside the playback of these albums is gapless, but I'd rather know what track is playing.

So is there a way to split them with the converter, or something else, without transcoding (or reripping)?

Sorry if its a bit off topic, mods feel free to move to appropriate forum if you think it doesn't belong here.

I don't know of any aac splitter, but if you still have the wav+cue, shntool or cuetools will split the wav-file for you.

Album images suffer from the lack of software support. Personally I store my albums as FLAC images, but I only use foobar2000 for playback - It actually loads quicker then single files smile.gif

If you still have the original cue (or you can create a cue from the CD) you can use fb2k for this.

Just load the cue in fb2k and have it point to the mp4 image file. Select/highlight the tracks of the image and right click. Select Edit and cut tracks.

Select a folder you would like to move the tracks to and simply paste them in.

Don't try this as it doesn't work...sorry! It's just meant as a method for playlist creation or copying entire file's (not splitting).

Tried this, didn't work.

Thanks guys, but I'm going to rerip the albums, there were only a couple of them anyway and I was feeling lazy about having to find the CDs.
