Just noticed that the Coaster Factory had closed. Went to the site and found the following:
"All stories come to an end, and so does The Coaster Factory. Due to lack of time and fading interests I couldn't keep the website up to date anymore. I left the website online for archival purposes, but the information on it was outdated and sometimes even incorrect. Several people pointed me at this and therefore I decided it might be better to close the website for good..."
Kinda like going to visit an old friend and then finding out they had moved or even worse. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for the help that I had received from this site in the past and I for one am sorry to see you go.
Wishing you fair winds and following seas...

Goodbye Coaster Factory and thank you for the EAC guides.
It was there I learned to set up EAC, and got interested in secure ripping. Many thanks to whoever was behind that site.

Yeah, me as well! So let me ask the $1M question. I took this guide as gospel. What is the most trusted EAC configuration guide at this time?

There isn't one.
The reason being is that so many were modeled after SatCP and took everything it said as gospel
...including the flaws!
Maybe if the EAC portion of the wiki can be updated, we'll never need to look back.

RIP. I first found The Coaster Factory and also pointed a great deal of traffic there.

Don't get me wrong. I knew nothing about EAC before visiting the Coaster Factory. It was very thorough.
Looking onward,
liekloo's
Essential Ripping Guide is one of the better ones that I've seen.
Let's rally and improve the EAC guide
here so you guys don't feel the need to send people elsewhere!

I'm all for that! I wish I could contribute but all my info came form the Coaster Factory!

There is another thread which seems to be going in the right direction! (and I see you have already contributed a lot to it!)
Glaring Errors in Wiki Regarding EAC
Coaster Factory's "EAC quick start guide" was the best for me, thx, and good luck!

I'd consider the one in my sig a pretty safe bet.

Yeah, that's the one I mentioned earlier.
I wish I could see the quickstart manual once again, IIRC it stressed it being critically important that you use Secure mode (or the world will explode!?!).

I grabbed the whole site a while back if it is needed.
If you can speak german:
here is nearly copy of it. Seems that big parts got translated nearly 1:1.

That's bad news. I always went there to setup my EAC. I also directed other people to have a look there...
