I've got at vision of how I'd like my foobar to look and operate, however, I'm not skilled enough to make it so. I was wondering if there might be someone out there who could either walk me through it, or simply do it themselves and then uploading it for me? All help would be highly appreciated!

This link should be working, it's a fast sketch of how I've thought it out. No graphic details though...

Why don't you just use a preconfigured package floating around inhere, or switch to a player that actually supports skinning - I'd recommend Winamp.

The skinning is the only thing I didn't ask for any help with. If you see the pic I uploaded you can also see that what I had in mind is nothing winamp could ever handle handle... besides, foobar ownz winamp big time. Just the tagging and formatting options are reason enough to switch player. I've never been happy with winamp, since I've been ultra obsessive when it comes to sorting my music, winamp'a always felt so clumsy. The masstagging and the freedb-tagging are great for this purpose and formatting let's me make it look nice and informative in the player aswell. When using winamp I used to create small mp3-files with the text ##### 'bandname' ##### in the band directory and ----- 'albumname' ----- in the album directories to make it look a little better. Then I saw a pic of a modded foobar and it looked amazing, all of my dreams for the perfect player come true. After looking around and seeing more pics of modded foobar I started to see it's real potential, but none of them was exactly as I wanted. That's why I started this thread, to see if there is anyone willing and able to aid me in this.

So winamp? No thanks. I'd rather eat my own head. wink.gif

I agree with you, and that's why I suggested you trying one of the preconfigured packages available. Your layout seem pretty much like most layouts from here, and really you should know that customizing foobar2000 is very limited. Try a package and start your "scripting" experience from there to make it fit your needs.
