Full Version: Playlists with 'relative' paths

I'd like to make playlists which cue up songs that are in the current folder ie a relative path, instead of referring to the absolute drive + directory structure. So i'd be able to move the directories around without the playlist becoming invalid.

Is this possible with tag or similar?

just do a search&replace in some text editor.

example: (search and replace 'D:\mp3\')
D:\mp3\Soundtrack_b\Strange Days1-Skunk Anansie - Selling Jesus.mpc
to get:
Soundtrack_b\Strange Days1-Skunk Anansie - Selling Jesus.mpc

and save that to the (in this case) D:\mp3\playlist.m3u or something.

Ok, thanks biggrin.gif

It would be nice to have a switch for this in Tag though ...

I believe tag uses relative paths, unless you save your playlists to other drive.
