Full Version: Is it technologically impossible to split he-aac files?

So all you aac tech-guys, who understand aac standard (I don't), is it possible or impossible? That is to split a he-aac file into smaller he-aac files, so that he information is not lost.

Yes possible. You just might lose the SBR decoding for a few frames. This can be solved by cutting exactly on frames with SBR headers (usually 1 per second or so).

I don't think there is any tool that checks for this.
