Full Version: EAC Write to CD-R

I had never used EAC, before to try and burn an audio CD.

I just used, Burrrn. Well When I upgraded my computer about 1-1/2 years ago, including a new CD-R/W -
I never could use Burrrn - gave me errors, so I just researched, found, and used CDBurner XP Pro 3.

I just upgraded to a Multi DVD ReWriter w. LaserScribe
(LG Electronics GSA-H44L - haven't loaded/tried LS, yet.)

However, in researching setting offsets in EAC for the new Multi DVD ReWriter ,
I tried, again to write a CD-R disc with EAC.

BUT, I get the following error, even on Test Write Only:

ERROR: Logical Unit not ready, Long write in progress. With only OK button to close the Error dialog box.

P.S. Test Write Only - appears to put something on the CD-R that EAC can see, but is not actually on the CD-R disc as far as Windows Explorer is concerned - which i am guessing is normal.)

Any help or suggestions?

I have the have the V0.95 preBeta 5 from 8 March 2004 version of EAC.

(I recently downloaded the newer V0.95 Beta 4 from 21 February 2005 version of EAC;
but haven't found time to configure it yet.)

Is there something I have to set up under the LAYOUT Menu, first -
other than just selecting the CUE sheet - in order to write to a CD?

After I install the 0.99 prebeta 1 from June 29, 2007;
Can I just copy the AccuRip TEXT file from the previous version of EAC (as well as the AR DLL file),
into the new EAC directory - so I don't have to go through the process of finding 3 key Discs?

You shouldn't have to do anything. The new version will see that the drive has already been configured with AccurateRip. Anything not related to AccurateRip in the drive options menu will have to be reconfigured, however.
