Hi guys,

I'm searching a way to move my Music files to a new structure (from %Album%\%Tracknumber% - %Title% to %Album%\%Artist%\... or sth like this via Rename tool in foobar) AND to move the album art which lies in the same dir as the music files (in my old structure %Album%\folder.jpg). Do you know sth, maybe commandline tolls in combination with foo_run?

Thanks
Cosmo
Are you using the "Move, Rename or Copy files" function?

Under "Do what" choose "move entire parent directories...."

Everything in the original folder, including images, should be moved

Hm, seems quite easy, but what happens if there is a complete different structure generated? does the Move,Rename,... Feature (which I am using in fact) make copies of the covers? I'll give it a try...

Thanks

this is how the feature works:

a. Your files are in the form: artist- album\tracknumber - title (suppose). In the folder, you also have: folder.jpg, a cue file, a log file and a m3u file (again, suppose).

b. Now you use the feature to create this structure: genre\artist\(date) album\tracknumber. title. When you use the move entire directories feature:

i. All extraneous files (folder.jpg, cue...) are moved along with the actual files
ii. it does NOT change from tracknumber - title to tracknumber. title. i.e. renaming of the file is NOT done.
(to rename, use "rename or move files" on the same set AFTER using the move entire directories option)

Hope that clarifies things.
