In fact we share our msuic to each other and now have the same fiiles and the same directory structure. Now we want to share work on downloading Lyrics, infos etc and put them in the tags. Is it possible to synchronise parts of our databases (maybo only some artists) if we establish an FTP connection or sth like this?

Use the "copy info between files" option. it shouldn't matter whether the source is available through FTP or through a cdrom.
