Ok so i switched from itunes to using foobar (with elegance skin smile.gif), and i have a few questions about the program.

First off, i'm wondering if there is a plugin in which you can setup a toolbar for foobar. When i talk about toolbars, i mean for example with wmp, u can set it that when u minimize it, it goes the the taskbar and u have play/next/previous/volume control right from the taskbar.

I would also like to know if there would be anyway or any plugin in which you can use foobar in a fullscreen application. I'm a gamer, and if i could get the ability to use foobar within a game (think xfire), to change my playlists, or modify playlists/settings, that would be great. I know that there are keyboard shortcuts, but it is pretty hard to modify playlists and browse through your library with shortcuts.

I'm quite happy with foobar and will continue to use it. Any help on these subjects is greatly appreciated though.

For the first question you could use foo_title and make it always on top when foobar is minimized I think

Hey, welcome to Foobar and to this board!
foo_title is the best thing for your first question.
Your second question...uhm....just use the search function of this board, but if you donīt find anything, i donīt think it is possible.

Hey there, If you're talking about Full screen in general, there is such a plugin; however, it violates the Foobar SDK. If you look hard enough, you'll find it. Usually for games, I just turn off the in game music and put Foobar in the background except when it comes to Counter Strike I leave in game sounds on. wink.gif I don't believe Foobar can run within in a game, though that would be nice.

I think what you mean by controlling foobar in another fullscreen app is controlling foobar without its interface right? Then it's not as flexible as you want it but I think setting up some global hotkeys in Foobar Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts is what you want.

Actually i already use keyboard shortcuts, but what i want is to use foobar in another fullscreen app with its interface, so i can modify playlists to my liking and what not from with in my game.

If the game in question supports use of COM objects then you can try writng an interface for the COM automation server, but I've never seen a game that has anything like that that is not hardcoded. The most likely answer is "not possible" or "impartical."

Hmm Alright well thanks for the help to everyone
