Full Version: Adding tags for .mid, .it files with fb2000

I've been searching for a while for a way of adding apev2 or any kind of tag to midi files. I really want to be able to put some info on it, so it gets indexed in the database, allowing me to search the files using foo_dbsearch.
If that's not possible, maybe I should encode the midi's to another codec that supports tags.

foo_input_dts allowed to append apev2 tags to DTS files, so I guess there's a way for adding that info on midi's. (I only use foobar2000 for midi reproduction, so I've got no problem if the files are unplayable on any other player).

(I didn't find any answer yet by searching on the forums, I hope there isn't one already posted).

Thanks for your time.

You can add RMI info tag to midi files using Winamp. foobar2000 (foo_midi) reads them without problem.

thanks! I'll try that now. biggrin.gif

edit: The RMI info works great! I miss the masstager tho, it's kinda slow the tagging procedure, but foo_dbsearch allow's me to search without problems, so I guess it's ok. tongue.gif
