Hi,
I have a HTPC running my FB2K and an external HDD containing all my ripped CDs. My idea is run this program thru my home network using a laptop. What I have done is share the program and add a shorcut to my laptop. Now, when I run it using my laptop, I can see the albums but can't see the cover art. When I try to run a song I get this error:
INFO (CORE) : location: "file://D:\CD MUSIC\10cc\How Dare You!\08 - 10cc - Head Room.flac" (0)
ERROR (CORE) : error opening file for playback :
INFO (CORE) : location: "file://D:\CD MUSIC\10cc\How Dare You!\08 - 10cc - Head Room.flac" (0)
INFO (CORE) : opening file for playback :
INFO (CORE) : location: "file://D:\CD MUSIC\10cc\How Dare You!\02 - 10cc - Lazy Ways.flac" (0)
ERROR (CORE) : error opening file for playback :
INFO (CORE) : location: "file://D:\CD MUSIC\10cc\How Dare You!\02 - 10cc - Lazy Ways.flac" (0)
As you can see Im not an expert so this is why Im asking for some help. Thanks in advace.
The problem is that the drive "D" in your desktop is not the drive "D" in your laptop.
Possible Solution:
1. Enable sharing for the music folder
2. Mount the folder as a drive on your desktop (say Drive Z)
3. Add drive Z to your foobar library
4. Now in your laptop, mount the music folder as the same Drive (Drive Z)
5. Now your foobar should work on both the laptop and the desktop
Alternate solution (easier):
1. Enable sharing
2. Copy your foobar2000 directory to the laptop
3. Change the media library in your laptop's foobar so that it now scans the shared folder
Thanks Kanak. I've done what you mention in the "easer part"and now Im having the following windows error:
Microsoft visual CC++ runtime error
library error
Any sugesntions? thans again
