I know this isn't a car audio forum but I need this quick question answered. I have a 4 x 50watt head unit and I'm running to two 4x6 135w max speakers and two 6x9 300w max speakers. I just need to know what gauge wire to run from the stereo to the speakers. A quick response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, your original wiring in your car should work for what you want, but if you plan on installing separate amps, etc. later on then... any standard 10 to 16 AWG (Average Wire Gauge) cable will work. 16AWG is more than enough really, anything larger than 16AWG for any car audio speaker is overkill. Speaker wire doesn't have the heat issues that power line does.
If the speaker wires must cross power cable, make sure the cross perpendicular to one another. This reduces interference and signal degradation.
Also look for Oxygen Free Multistranded Cable (shielded against line noise and interference)
On Crutchfield you would find everything you need, but it is damn expensive!
Just run down to the nearest audio shop and pick up some cheap speaker wire man! (according to my specs above)
